Our TikTok just hit 1,000 followers—and yes, we’re celebrating. 🎉
But we’re not just here to post clips and call it content. This space is something deeper.
We named our TikTok account Anansi the Spider for a reason.
Anansi is one of the most well-known figures in West African and Caribbean folklore—a trickster, storyteller, and wisdom-keeper. Enslaved Africans carried his stories across the Atlantic, where they evolved and survived as cultural code, resistance, and legacy. Anansi didn’t just entertain; he preserved knowledge when written language wasn’t an option. He found ways around power. He made stories a weapon, a shield, and a mirror.
So yeah—he’s the perfect symbol for what we’re building.
Our TikTok is now a playground for that same spirit. A space for experimentation, imagination, and unapologetic storytelling. We’ll be using generative AI to reimagine Black history, mythology, resistance, and brilliance—frame by frame. From surreal AI visuals and mini sizzles to historical remixing and animated lore drops, we’re letting Anansi spin freely.
